Abigail Rose
I recently saw some beautiful cards online which were created by the talented Kim Fee (Simply Fairies) when she was on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Team. Much of the detail on the cards was created from the Abigail Rose DSP (patterned paper). I thought that my ladies would enjoy trying to recreate them and Kim kindly allowed me to share them in our classes.
I did tweak the cards - Kim used a worn-the style background stamp on the white panels. Instead, I embossed the white card and rubbed ink on parts of the raised areas with my finger. My cards are a little more heavy looking, less dainty, but I was still pleased with the results.
The cards are in sahara sand and basic white with a tiny touch of rose gold. Sentiments were randomly chosen from my stamp sets. The flowers and leaves are coloured with Stampin' Blends. The colour lifter was particularly helpful in creating shading.
I also made a fifth fun fold card, although this wasn’t part of the class. Maybe we’ll do this fold in our next class -
Standing.....
Opened out and laid flat.....
