November's Carolling Mice
For November's class we used the host set - Caroling Mice. Sometimes you may not wish to use the larger, main stamp image from a set. In this case it is a group of carolling mice. It was easy to create a card from one of the smaller stamped images. For our first card we used the lamppost paired up with a sentiment from Inspired Thoughts and embossed background (retired folder) to create a smart, clean card.
On our second card we used another of the smaller images - the solo carolling mouse, singing his/her heart out. Fussy cut, coloured with Stampin’ Blends and layered onto a large white tag with an embossed base layer in crumb cake (Wintry 3D embossing folders).
My third card is a fun fold - a concertina pocket card, and is from a design Maria José Vargas Mench, I changed the measurements to suit our cardstock sizes. This is a good card to use up your retired patterned paper (DSP), ribbon and smaller stamps.
My last card uses the same sentiment as in my first card but not other stamps. It relies on an embossed background and die cuts, finishing off with pearlised enamel effects. The first photo shows the card without the final embellishment, the second is the final card. Some product on this card is now retired but similar effects are achievable with current product.
The trees are die cut with the Tree Lot dies, which were available for a limited time, and a retired glimmer paper.
I hope you've enjoyed looking at these cards. A list of those supplies used which are still current is at the foot of this post.
Happy crafting
