Seeing so many daffodils on the ground, you can be sure that Easter is on it's way. I decided to focus on spring and Easter for this month's class and opened the Easter Friends stamp set. You have four images and four sentiments in this useful set. That rabbit is just so sweet! Then you have a chick with 'happy feet' and a small chick, along with a really useful grass stamp. Perfect for spring, Easter and baby cards. Or a card for any occasion simply because they are such endearing images.
We created two fun fold cards, a more straightforward card and embelished a gift box.
Here is our first card, a tunnel scene card, in mossy meadow, pear pizzazz and DSP from our recent Saleabration promotion paired up with the aptly named Windowpane Check Ribbon. A simple card front.
With a sweet surprise pop up inside.....
I can't remember the name of this fun fold, it's simple to make. I love how the DSP inside the aperture gives the impression that the chicks are in a field of flowers. The pattern on the pear pizzazz is created by pressing the ink from a Versamark ink pad through a decorative mask, giving a watermark effect. To be honest I will probably remake this one as I have somehow managed to split a little of the card on one of the folds.
Our second card is also a fun fold. From the front it looks like a simple gatefold card with a belly band. Whilst the DSP is pretty busy - I wasn't attracted to it in the least but changed my mind after completing this card - it doesn't appear to be too overwhelming on the card, it's actually quite pretty.
Open sesame! And now we have a gatefold explosion card!

I hope you've enjoyed browsing today's cards. This stamp set is way more versatile than it first appears.
Happy crafting!
