If you read my last blog post you'll know that we made cards in last months Just For Fun classes based on the patterned paper in the Snowflake Splendor suite, using our own selection of stamps along with Shimmer Paint and Adhesive Backed Snowflakes. This month we continued with this theme adding the Winter Snow embossing folder to give extra depth. Below I'm sharing the two cards and gift card wallet we made.
Our first card is balmy blue followed by layers in white and highland heather. A piece of patterned paper (DSP) has been adhered to the card layer and then the whole piece has been embossed with the folder. This gives the imporession of the DSP being printed onto the cardstock. A band across with a fussy cut sentiment and some of the snowflake embellishments finishes the card.
Our second card has a white base and mat. The DSP has been cut into 3 vertical strips and sponged with shimmer paint before being stuck the the mat, leaving a small gap between each strip. The shimmer paint really does leave a lovely shimmery effect. The card then has a sentiment added which has been lightly sponged to give an ombre effect. Of course we just had to add some more snowflakes!
Finally, our gift card holder. The base card is pool party, the mats are coastal cabana. The photos show the wallet closed then open with the final one indicating just exactly where the gift card will fit.
Who knew that all these colours would coordinate so well!
All these beautiful projects were created for us to use by the talented Cary!
I hope you've enjoyed seeing these projects as much as we enjoyed making them.
Since we each used some items from our own stash only the basic supplies used are listed below. To view any of them more clearly or to purchase, simply click on an image.
Until next time, take care,
Lesley
