Life is Beautiful
This month we used the Life is Beautiful stamp set for our Just For Fun classes. It's a lovely set which covers all four seasons. The largest stamp is of a tree trunk with bare branches with other coordinating stamps. You can see an image of the set below.
I have four cards to share with you.
First up is a card which Camille (Mon carnet de créations) generously allowed me to CASE. Hers was an autumnal scene and I loved the simplicity of the card. Mine is more spring blossom.I love that the copper embossing goes so well on this card. Although the copper is now retired, gold would work really well too!
Next is a more summer image. The impression of flowers and leaves has been achieved by using bubblewrap to stamp with. The mat is made with retired DSP, we have many beautiful designs in the catalogues which could be used as a substitute.
The flowers are highlighted with a little Wink of Stella which is not immediately evident from the photo but can be viewed below.
Our third card is definitely autumnal. The front has a narrow embossed side on the left and a front stamped panel behind which a plaid/tartan side is revealed on the right. The leaves have been stamped in various colours onto which some more have been heat embossed in sprinkings of copper and silver.
As odd as it sounds, I used the Seabed 3D embossing folder on this card rather than one with leaves. I find leaves a really attractive image.
A list of the products I used appears below, click on anyone to view more clearly.
Have a good weekend!
