Botanicals Medley Class By Post

Today I'm sharing the photos from my Botanicals Medley class which was a class by post.
I couldn't believe that this fabulous kit was at such an amazing price on the retirement list. The medley comprises a stamp set, coordinating dies, 48 sheets of 6"x6" patterned paper (one side of which is coloured and the reverse is black and white), a reel of ribbon and sweet bee embellishements.
The images are just beautiful, you may remember that I used one of the stamps on a card in a recent Just For Fun class, you can view the card here.
I knew that some of my ladies would grow to love the kit as much as I do so I offered a class by post.
In addition to the kit they also received lots of extra card stock, a short pdf giving instructions for 4 cards and a link to a video for the fun fold card.

This first card is a Triple Panel Concertina Card...

The embellishment on the front is a couple of the preprinted die cuts from the kit. On the reverse is a white panel on which to write your sentiment.

The second card is in crushed curry and navy...

The card really lets the patterned paper sing. The precut and printed shapes make a lovely topper to finish the card.

Our third card shows off gentle stencilling which has been achieved by using the reverse of one of the laser cut die sheets as a stencil...

Although the card features some deep colours, the overall effect is very soft and gentle. The fussy cutting helps give it dimension.

On this next card, which also has a pretty peacock card base, the laser cut sheet from the previous card has been flipped over and used as a matting layer...

A little colour has been added to the patterned paper to make it 'pop'. Check out that sweet little bee.

Finally our fun fold card - a Triple Pop Up Cube Card. I first saw this by a lady called Lavonne, followed by a video by the lovely Rebecca Willmore of Catnipcrafting. I've made it from the stunning Magenta Madness card stock, one of the new In Colours.

I couldn't resist making a miniature version of this. Below I've put both side by side so that you can see the scale. The height of the tiny one is just 4cm!

Isn't that so cute!
Would you like to see the whole suite together?

I bet you wish you'd opted to take part in this class too!
Although the Botanicals Medley has now retired these designs could easily be reproduced in other patterned paper.
If you are interested in seeing any of our kits they can be viewed online here.
A list of the cardstock used is below, click on any item to view online.

I hope you've enjoyed seeing our recent class projects, happy crafting,

Lesley
