Nature in Mind
I started with one in autumnal shades, moving onto more leaves and trees but completely forgetting that I'd had autumn in mind when I started out.
The cards all have at least one stamp from the Rooted in Nature stamp set. I've also used the dies.
This first card also features a bird from Free As A Bird which has been coloured with Stampin' Blends and fussy cut.
The base card is mango melody with a layer of cajun craze. We stamped leaves in mango and cajun onto white then die cut it using the stitched rectangles dies, mounting them a little apart onto the cajun card. On top we added a doily, a piece of scalloped linen ribbon in terracotta tile, a wood accent leaf from the Tags & Feathers Elements pack and the bird.
Our next card had much more white surface on show and is not so busy.
A base in grey granite topped with a layer of pretty peacock card. The top white card has a die cut tree in various shades of pink and pretty peacock.
The background has been made by using the negative card from the die cut tree which has been used as a mask. A spritz of ink over which the sentiment has been added. This is stamped on top of the tree trunk image, again finished with a wood element feather, as before.
Our third card is completely stamped with the same leaf in coastal cabana, bermuda bay and pretty peacock before being die cut with the stitched
rectangles dies to create a frame with both an inner and outer piece.
The frame part has been raised on foam strips whilst the other pieces are glued straight onto the base card. Another wooden element, stamped with a sentiment, and a little reversible ribbon along with sequins to finish the card.
Our final card was masked before adding blue ink, remving the masks we then shaded the moon. The tree is black Memento ink.
A small piece of black satin ribbon and washi tape (retired) over which we added some silver thread and a stamped, die cut leaf. Finished with a few tiny black sequins (retired).
Four very different nature inspired cards which we enjoyed making including a tiny nod to autumn before we start into preparing for the Christmas season.
