Unbirthdays - Catching Up!
I might make cards... lots of them, but I often get behind with sending cards to friends and family for their birthdays. Part of the reason is that I tend to make each of their cards specially for them and rarely use those I just have stashed away. Because of this I've taken to sending Unbirthday cards. A card from me will arrive sometime during the year after your birthday. I've been told by one friend that she loves this, thinks it's a great idea, and it's a super surprise when a card turns up unexpectedly.
Here is a batch of recent unbirthday cards which I've sent out, all 7 of them! ...
The first is stamped in early espresso on crumb cake card and finished with white pen. The stamp is Floral Statements. The scalloped edge was achieved by using a retired punch but a similar effect could be obtained by using the long scallop die from Playful Pennants Framelits. Finished with a few sequins.
Inside is stamped with a leaf from the Rooted In Nature stamp set.
Inside, stamped with branches of small leaves from Rooted in Nature.

The base of this card, the DSP - Gingham Gala and mini striped ribbon are all in gorgeous grape. Whisper white card has been punched with the cat punch. Sentiment is Itty Bitty Greetings.
Now for a softer colour, soft seafoam. Daisy is from the new Daisy Lane stamp set. It's been stamped and heat embossed in white onto vellum then punched with the daisy stamp. The background is covered in punched daisies and die cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. Die cut sprays (Frosted Bouquet Framelits dies) in both soft seafoam and vellum are attached. Sentiment as before.

Another daisy card with Daisy Lane stamp and coordinating punch along with more gorgeous grape but with a little razzle dazzle from glimmer card.
You can tell I was playing with one of my favourite combos since I made a few cards in crumb cake with early espresso ink and white pen, shown here on another card. More vellum and Playful Pennant dies. The stamp set is Love What You Do. Pearls finish this card. Sentiment is Itty Bitty Greetings.
Inside, stamped with branches of small leaves from Rooted in Nature.
Yet more crumb cake, vellum, early espresso and white on the final two cards! The stamp is from Incredible Like You. Retired ribbon is from my stash.
Inside, same stamp as on card front.
Similar to previous cards but finished with sequins and scallops.
I enjoyed making these but was rather glad when I finished... before realising that I had still missed some people off the list. They'll be top of my list on the next batch!
I do hope you're more organised than me!
Have a good week,
Lesley
