Gifts, Goodies and WOW! Swaps

Crikey! Doesn't time fly!
It seems like just yesterday that I returned from our Onstage event - I'm only unpacking my swaps and other goodies today. I'll share them here with you. Be warned - this is a picture heavy post!
The event was such fun! It's always nice to catch up with friends who live both near and far, to make new friends too!
On the Friday evening I attended Centrestage which is an event laid on for all those who hold the title of Silver Elite and above. We gather together over a meal, receive a training session, our event bag (which has our name tag, lanyards, pens prize patrol bade etc inside), gifts...and a copy of the upcoming catalogue before anyone else! You can see some of the demos browsing their new catalogue but I've had to erase the contents of the pages as they are strictly inder wraps until you either have a catalogue in your hand or it goes live in June! Sorry!

The tables are always laid nicely for us with pretty flowers. We get the chance to register for the main event, which is on the Saturday, ahead of other demos.

We are given a three course meal at Centrestage

Our event bag is in a new InColour for this year - Pretty Peacock. It contains goodies!

Inside this useful pouch was a brand new punch!

My Upline Natalie gave each of us a gift at Centrestage. Inside were three luxurious bath products.

Rather than taking part in general swapping, I took part in an organised swap. I have a few photos to share of the WOW! swaps.

Beautiful personalised frame from Bridget Metcalf

Cheeky little birdhouse from sara Sayer (orginally filled with chocolate eggs and Easter goodies, these quickly disappeared!)

Get this fabulous ribbon storage from Rebecca Willmore. How did she come up with that? More shots below.

This card from Cary Buckham is HUGE! I'm not sure what the fold is called but it slides open - see picture below. Super fun fold!

Cary tells me that she thinks it's called a 'Break Away' card.

Another HUGE card, a different fancy fold by Gill Moore.  A lot of elements in this one too!
I also received some gifts
My Upline Natalie made these for all her team members. She also made this coordinating card.....

This sweet box is from Sue Bridge

This useful gift was given to me by Ann Yates. The chocolate and sweets to keep us going during the day and handy wet wipes. How thoughtful!

This dainty little handbag which contains a super survival kit is from Yvonne Bevan.

Sweet treat packaging by Rachael Berry

Another sweet treat holder, this time apron shaped from Paula Boardman

This wee little package from Yvonne Bevan holds catalogue page markers which are also handmade.

This delicate looking package holds somthing quite substantial - a 1 person carrot cake mix, a cute wooden spoon on the front to eat it with once made! Sadly, no name on this and I can't remember who made it.

Beautifully decorated TicTac holder from Rebecca Willmore. But wait! Pull gently at the ribbon tag end and it opens like a slider card! See below -

Delicate card by Carrie Bates.

This wallet style fold out card is from Sue Bridge, the inside can be seen below..

This fun fold card is by Gill Moore.

So, all that remains now is for me to show you the gifts and swaps that I made.
Here they are - these are my WOW! Team Swaps. Tins of fish. They are ring pull tins. The tins are delivered empty and unassembled. Once put together they can only be opened via the ring pull. Inside I've put a bag of large jelly fish. I've decorated the outside to resemble a tin of fish such as tuna, using the Best Catch stamp set.

The 'label' has been cut using a die from the Garage Gears Thinlits die set. I used a stamp from Best Catch and masked part of it then stamped and heat embossed it onto the label. This has then been covered with fine tip glue to give a glossy effect like an embossed label.

The paper wrapper (DSP - Tranquil Textures) has been stamped with the fisherman stamp in black.
I then stamped fish onto white card and also onto window sheet. I coloured both with Stampin' Blends. They were all die cut, the card fish were then covered in fine tip glue and sprinkled lightly with Dazzling Diamonds glitter before being sandwiched together with the window sheet fish. They were left to dry overnight. The following morning I curved them around the tins and glued them to the wrappers.

I love that they sparkle when the light catches them. Maybe not so much a WOW! but certainly 'outside of the box' and different!
I also made a few general swaps that were of a similar nature but much simplified, as you can see below...

My gifts were also packaged in ring pull tins, albeit larger ones. Each person received a pair of soft bamboo socks with their initial on them. The packaging also had their initial on the front so that I didn't get them muddled up!

My final photos today show what a fun time we had together.

Every demonstrator has the opportunity to attend these events. If you'd like to share in the fun at our next one in November then join my team - ask me how!
I hope you've enjoyed todays post.
Have a super weekend
Lesley
