Dreaming of Calm and Order

I must have been dreaming when I visualised post Christmas being a time catch my breath and restore some calm and orderliness into my craft room. I seem to have hit the ground running but am still at the back of the race.
A pile of admin finally cleared last weekend, I then threw myself into cards for my first Coffee and Card session of the year, also a birthday and a thank you card.
I totally missed announcing the arrival of our new Spring Summer catalogue and our largest event of the year - Saleabration (SAB).
So, let me fill you in and share our crafty news!

Our cards for Coffee and Card are made using new stamps.
I tried to make them bright and cheery whilst keeping them fairly simple. The both use stamps from Incredible Like You (item 148708 £16), but the first one also uses the new large background stamp Crackle Paint (item 148752 £15).


The base card is Poppy Parade, certainly bright! With the crackle stamp in Grey Granite and just a touch of Granny Apple Green. Because this one required some masking, I made the second card a little easier for beginners.
This card also has more white space.



With the two cards above I found the Incredible Like You stamp set to be a bit more of a challenge, however, I then made a 'Thank You' card using the same stamp set. This came together much more quickly and was more to my personal taste. I loved the end result.



The dies used are  - Foliage Frame Framelits for the Champagne foil frame and vellum leaves. In addition to die cutting this I also embossed it using the set of embossing mats (annual catalogue page 221). These mats allow you to use your existing thin dies such as thinlits and framelits and turn them into embossed images - how cool is that! The item number for this set is 146327 £14.
The word is a die from another new set - Well Written Framelits. These are available individually for £37 (item number 148534) or as part of a bundle including the coordinating stamp set for £71 saving 10% (item 150609). This is a considered purchase but with 24 dies and 51 stamps they cover so many eventualities that you'll wonder what you did without them!
