No, I don't mean Meghan and Harry!
Some of you will know that my youngest son Anthony recently married his sweetheart, Laura.
My cards are always gratefully received by them so I find it hard to gauge the exact type of card that Laura would like so I thought it best to go for something extremely simple for their wedding card.
Their colours were a soft white and rose gold. With one bridesmaid in a soft dusky rose pink and the other in duck egg blue.
Rather than stamp, I chose to use my Silhouette Cameo to digitally cut their names and the date. To do this I had to select each letter individually then 'weld' it to the previous one so that they were all attached once cut out. Then I resized it to fit the front of my card. The whole thing, though simple looking, took me ages.
I don't use the Cameo often. Perhaps I'm just not experienced enough with the machine to do it quickly!
The wording was mounted onto a rose pink pearlescent card. I then used a small punch (now retired) to punch out the tiny flowers, each had a tiny pearl in the centre.

The envelope was made on the envelope punch board with a sheet of foiled card from my stash.
I used RGB and HEX codes to match the typing of their name to the colour of the base card. I typed it onto whisper white card which I then die cut using a die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
I guess they will have had many cards on the day but, as simple as mine was, none made with as much care and love.
We had a wonderful day, the wedding was just beautiful. I asked if they'd mind me sharing a photo or two on here, they were so reluctant - I think I got about 30 to choose from!
How to pick just one? I'll share a couple with you, but not before adding that they were taken by a wonderful photographer called Kat Antos-Lewis (http://www.katantoslewisphotography.com/weddings). In fact, on the 'About Me' section of her website are two shots of the wedding that I've not shared publicly.
I wish them both every happiness and lots of love.
I hope you've enjoyed the card I've shared with you today.
Have a good weekend,
Lesley
