Coffee & Valentines
At my last Coffee & Card session we made Valentine cards.
As always, since it's a drop in and there can be brand new, never stamped before attendees, the cards have to be easy enough to be made by everyone and not too many layers, this keeps postage cost down.
Using those cute pandas from the Panda Party stamp set but steering away from full on red. Instead we used basic grey and calypso coral.
The panda stamp used is the one holding a balloon. On this occasion we masked the balloon and added a cute heart instead which is in the Heart Happiness stamp set. The sentiment is, I thought, rather apt and is part of the Lift Me Up stamp set. Although not obvious from this photo, we added a little bling in the form of Gold Glitter Flakes - they seem to look like black dots in this photo!
The second card is again panda themed.
This panda is ready to deliver his valentine card and has been fussy cut before being layered onto a strip of Painted With Love Speciality DSP. I tend to use the reverse side, it's so lush but this time round it worked better without the metallic on show. The heart is also punched out (punch is retired) with a bunch of tiny hearts sending out love behind (Heart Happiness again!). The sentiment is from the well established Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set. The card is finished with more tiny Gold Glitter Flakes.
I hope you'll agree, red isn't essential for Valentine. Coral is a lovely warm replacement.
If you'd like to see any of these items in my online shop then click on my shop link or simply click on the appropriate words above and you'll be taken straight to the item. Please note ** - Party Pandas is not available to buy. It is part of Saleabration (SAB) and can be obtained free with a £45 qualifying order.
The ladies seemed to enjoy making them and I hope you like them too!
Happy Valentines!
