Costa Card Session

As many of you will know, I run a Coffee and Card Session twice each month at my lovely local Costa coffee shop. I really enjoy these, the staff are friendly and welcoming, it's a nice atmosphere. Since it's a 'drop in', I never know if I will be crafting on my own or will be busy with people joining me.
The cards need to be easy enough for a beginner to attempt, with assistance, but enough to engage a regular crafter. I also like to change up the stamp set I use. Sometimes it takes a few cardmaking attempts before I come up with a suitable card. This week was no different.
This the start of the first attempt. I didn't get any further before I ditched the idea. I stamped the whipped cream onto crepe paper. I like the textured effect it gave, although next time I'd line the paper up so that the texture lines are horizontal.
I may have ditched the attempt but at some point this image may crop up on another card!
Next up was this card which you may have already seen on my Facebook page.
We had a little fun guessing game when I posted it to the page. The cup is in cherry cobbler to resemble a Costa take away cup, even the texture is the same! I decided that each person would have to wait around too long to be able to share the stamps. Did you like this card? Or was it too rustic? Too busy?
Then I moved on to this card.
I liked that it wasn't traditional colours. There are some fab cards online but many of them are in shades of green and brown to match our coordinating DSP.
The whipped cream on this card is stamped onto a coffee filter, good textured effect, not sure if you can see it on this photo. There just seemed to be something missing. Can't put my finger on it. Apart from the cup and tag being crooked, what would you change to make it right?
Finally, this is the one!
In shades of crumb cake and soft sky, which pick up the colours of the DSP. I'm happy with this.
Thankfully, the ladies loved it too. One of them, Jane, has shared two photos that she took in Costa.

I hope you've enjoyed visiting today. I look forward to your company this weekend.
Happy crafting ✂️
