Despite the number of stamp sets I own, there are often occasions where I don't have the 'perfect' stamp and need to improvise (as you will have seen on the new baby card on this post).
Whilst I was away on holiday, a little lady in our family made her first communion. I had a stamp with an appropriate sentiment but nothing for the front of the card. Then I remembered the daisy stamp from the new catalogue. I knew there were flowers on the dress so went for a simple white on white card with just a hint of silver underneath.....

The stamp set - Daisy Delight, has a coordinating punch, no fussy cutting necessary!
The base card is thick whisper white. the next layer is silver foil card - just a tiny border showing around the top layer which has been stamped and heat embossed in white using a retired stamp set - Grateful Bunch. I stamped the large daisy stamp from the new set 3 times in versamark onto vellum and white card, heat embossed in dazzling diamonds on the vellum and white on the whisper card and then punched out the shapes
The vellum daisies was layered under the whisper white. These were added to the card. The daisy centres were filled with fine tip glue over which I poured some tiny crystal like pieces which I had stashed back from a Stampin' Up! Christmas kit.
The finished card is not overly religious but the effect is clean, pure and simple - I think that description fitted the bill!
So, what do you think? Did I manage to improvise successfully? I hope so!
