Good morning!
It's Blog Hop time again!
You may have hopped here from Pip's super blog, which will, I'm sure, have left you inspired. Or you may have simply stopped by. Welcome!
This month the theme is gift packaging. Bearing in mind that it is the thought that counts when giving gifts, I've focused on the smaller, perhaps homemade, gifts and have 2 quick ideas for you.
I've seen lots of 'cake slices made' from out Cutie Pie thinlet box die. Some almost look edible! The box is perfect for a smaller gift. Anything from a table treat, a few sweets to a piece of jewellery. Here I've taken it and given it a Christmas twist...
The 'trunk' is a simple cotton reel covered with soft suede card. The bauble decorations are from a retired punch but small circles would do the job just as well. They've had a touch of Crystal Effects added to give them dimension. 
My second project is a quick bit of packaging, all made so easy to co-ordinate using Stampin' Up! products - a brownie jar.


The contents are all that is needed to make delicious brownies apart from fresh ingredients such as eggs. Attached is the recipe.
The lid is covered with Wonderland Vellum, the DSP around the jar is vellum too.  Stamp is 'Cup of Cheer'.
Yes, I know, this is an idea that is both simple and been done many times before but why do we always think we have to go for difficult and time consuming when the finished treat would be a welcome supplement to the teatime table on Boxing Day.
Finally - the one that got away....and thank goodness it did. Here's the flop for the day.



As you can see, the ink ran everywhere, much further than you can see in this photo. I was covered in it, so was everything else!
So, there you go. A couple of fast ideas and a 'what not to do'!

    Hey - two Christmas Tree pie boxes in the hop - great and I love your take on it. My all time favourite is your recipe jar though - it's gorgeous, simple, but a) yummy and b) pretty who wouldn't want to get that! LOVE the idea! Lesley, I love that you also show the things that don't quite go "as planned" - it's good for those tuning in to know they're not alone!!!

    Two trees this month?! Great minds eh?! Such a clever idea. Love your recipe jar, and what a great stamp to co-ordinate with it? Love your 'flop' too, I think we should all own up to our flops occasionally as mine don't always go to plan either!

    Along with Louise's creation, you are both tempting me to the Cutie Pie framelit with the Christmas Tree creation. I love them both and I also love the Gift idea … How adorable is that?! xx
