Make Art in England with Wendy Vecchi

Well, it was a busy weekend - a blog hop, Leckford and, on the Sunday a fabulous day out in London spent crafting.

Sunday was me time, downtime. A day to dabble. Doesn't happen often.
I spent the day with Cathryn, Nikki and Brenda, along with a whole group of friends and people they know at a workshop run by the lovely Wendy Vecchi which was held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Portman Square.
We'd booked this months ago and we'd all been looking forward to it. But when it came to the morning and I had to be on a train into London at 7.40am on a Sunday morning I really did begin to wonder if I had a screw loose. I don't 'do' mornings. Maybe I wasn't as mad as marbles but the bag had definitely split!
We were all very warmly welcomed and, how nice, I was tapped on the shoulder by a customer of mine who I hadn't been in touch with for a little while!
Lots of the lovely ladies have blogged about the day and, I probably can't do the event as much justice as they have so I'll skip along a bit.
Our kit included a super kraft box and bags of goodies to use. I don't have a photo as I was excited to get crafting  (also trying to wake up!).
Here's Wendy showing us how to start work on our boxes.

After working on our little boxes we put them all onto a table - everyone's was so different.

We then set to to make the tags for the inside. Also, making time for a yummy lunch (forgot, we had fruit and croissants mid morning too!)....crafters do get hungry!
Aside from all our goodies, Wendy also gave each of us one of her very own sets of matching stamp and stencil. The image is of a rose as that is the English flower - how fitting, and how very kind of her!
To top it all off we were also given a one off discount voucher!
Below is a photo of the four of us with our completed projects.

As you can see, they all look different.
What a day! We all had a brilliant time and it was over so soon!
Thank you Wendy!
I need to take some photos of my projects up close, then I'll post them here for you to see.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've enjoyed your visit!
