Morning! Thank you for joining me today. If you've hopped here from Pip's super blog then I expect you're already storing her ideas for later use - I'm looking forward to hopping back to view her great creations and am sure I'm in for a treat. So let's get on....
Welcome to the latest Stampin' Creative Blog Hop.
This week has seen the release of our retirement lists, preparing the way for the new Annual catalogue. This also spells the end for our 2013-2015 In Colours. To see them out in style, the Stampin' Creative Blog Team have used the colour palette for this month's blog hop. This is their last hurrah!
I do have to confess - this bunch have not been my favourite, apart from Coastal Cabana, which I have used on the first card I'd like to show you today.
I wanted to achieve the appearance of a butterfly alighting on a hydrangea. I did experience difficulty getting the photo light enough, it doesn't show the soft shimmer on the butterfly which comes from smooch spritz - also retiring, as is the thick bakers twine.
After finishing the card, I started to prep some water bottles for tomorrow's all day Spring Papercraft Event using the same colour family. The photos below show them part finished.
I've one more card to share you. This one is using Baked Brown Sugar cardstock from the retiring colours. I actually quite like this colour. I've used the Mixed Bunch stamp set which is also retiring. It's a very simple card and, as with the first card, it's monochrome and I've used a favourite technique of mine - simple white pencil!
I do love the soft white pencil against this shade. As I say, a simple card but we all need simple cards, don't we!
Thanks for stopping by. The next blog is Kim's where you'll see her beautiful creations. Just click on her name above to hop there. Should you need to go back to Pip's, or you simply like travelling backwards (!) then click on her name at the top of this post.
