Stampin' Stars Sale-A-Bration & Spring/Summer Blog Hop

Woohoo! Spring has sprung! Okay, don't go looking through the window just to prove me wrong. In Stampin' Up! land spring starts today with the release of both our Occasions Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-a-bration.
Who'd have thought it possible to have so much goodness in one day???
Stampin' Stars are kicking off the Celebration with a blog hop but, before we dive in, just a little reminder or two....
Our Occasions Autumn/Winter winter catalogue is due to end soon.
Occasions Spring/Summer runs until 30th June 2014. Sale-a-bration runs until 31st March 2014. We have wonderful offers during Sale-a-bration, more about that tomorrow!
Back to the blog hop. You may have arrived here from Kim's fab blog - she's a lovely friend and talented demo who always comes up with super ideas, or you could just be starting here...either way - WELCOME!
My first project is a bendy card. I've cut the base by hand as opposed to e-cutter. I think it makes a pretty 3d card for the recipient. On this card I'm showcasing the brand new Petite Petals stamp set and co-ordinating punch.

Petite Petals bendy card by Lesley Lendon
It reminds me of balconies filled with flowers. What does it remind you of?
This has been made for a special February birthday so I do hope the recipient is not viewing! I do hope she likes it.
This next card would make a perfect contemporary card for Valentines Day, or what about an anniversary? Made using one of the stamps from the new Language of Love stamp set. Oh yes, forgot, also the Fresh Prints DSP paper stack -
Language of Love
Not normally one for pretty, pretty cards - I really like how this one has turned out.
On the next card the lovely poppy is from the Happy Watercolour stamp set and the card that it's mounted on is from the Watercolour Wonder Designer Notecards pack (15 in the set,3 each of 5 designs, with envelopes). I cut one in half and mounted it onto a pistachio pudding base card. Why? Because I stamped the words crooked! My friends and customers are now screaming "Stamp-a-majig" at me! But, as you can see, all was not lost - I turned it into a 'happy accident'! Thought I'd stamp the poppy several times and decoupage the petals, then coat with crystal effects for a 3D image.

Very simple, but maybe that's your style?
For my last project I wanted to show something from the SAB leaflet. As soon as I spotted the Decorative Dots embossing folder I knew just what I would make. I've had this idea for sometime now and think it worked well. I look forward to your feedback. I've made a mans gift wallet using the embossing folder, clear embossing powder and a heat gun to emulate a leather effect with a brad to finish. Here's the outside...

...and inside, holding a gift card...

Do you think my idea works? I was quite pleased with the end result.
Thank you for visiting, I do hope you've enjoyed stopping by and call again soon!
