Stampin' Stars Spring Blog Hop

Hi, welcome to the first ever Stampin' Stars Blog Hop.
You may have arrived here from Natalie's fab blog, didn't she have some good ideas!
The focus is on our brand new Spring/Summer catalogue which is released today. As with all our catalogues it's jam-packed with all sorts of lovelies. So many, in fact, that it was difficult to choose which stamp set to feature.
I've chosen By The Tide for it's nautical feel on my card. Here it is:
By The Tide

Available in both wood mount, 129117 £24.95, and clear mount, 129120 £19.95.
I really love this set,so have used it for both cards. Another new product is shown here - our coredinations paper in my out and out favourite, pool party, which I've lightly sanded. The fish appear more vibrant because they've been stamped onto gloss card. I've used In Colour 2011 - 2013 brads and 'window' acetate on my porthole, linen thread to wrap around the card and the Nantucket Bay stamp from the same set to resemble a 'seal'. All finished off with a sentiment from the Vintage Verses stamp set which is available as a freebie when you spend £45 on an order before 22nd March.
The second card is using the same products in a different way.

  5. Lesley, I love the way you have done the porthole. Might be good to have a whale swimming past! Now I NEED 'By the Tide'.
Have always loved sea stamps, however I have so many can't really justify another one. Perhaps we can swap for a week, you borrow Oh Whale and me By the Tide!
