I'm not a great 'kit lover', rarely purchase them but I saw the Saying Thanks Kit recently and loved the bright colour arrangement on one or the cards. Yes, I told myself, I can CASE that! They will be a fun 'thank you' cards for my downline as I retire from my role with Stampin' Up!
Now, I do think the colours on the kit cards are a wee bit nicer and brighter, but I'm not displeased with what I made as thank you cards for my remaining team members. To be honest, the photos are a bit duller than the originals but needs must and they HAD to go into the mail. The true colours are nearer to those shown on the first photo...
To make these cards I used a stamp from the retired Life is Beautiful stamp set. Although it's not my favourite set, it's one that has earnt it's keep and has been used over and over again! The thanks die is also long retired.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing what I shared today, until next time...
Happy crafting!

I’ve just realised that I haven’t shared the cards I made last month which were created using the, now retired, host set - Garden Grandeur. I used the glycerine technique to blend colour onto the first three cards.
My first card was inspired/CASED from a super card created by Chris Schroeder (Written in Ink).
Chris' card is way prettier than mine! She used a mask but I made a template using a die and piece of cardstock to create mine.
My next card was also inspired by one I'd seen online which was created by Kirsten Kuus. She used a small background stamp, whereas I punched a circle to use as a mask, blending colour over it, and also added coordinating strips of colour.
The top mat of this next card was die cut to leave an aperture. The card behind has three colours blended onto it, a sentiment stamped onto a strip of vellum with three fussy cut flowers on top, mounted on stampin' dimensionals. Doesn't that blending just look soooo smooth!
My last card is a fun fold which I've made many times before, but not for some time. I was reminded of the fold by Paula Barin.
Definitely a fold which can be used easily for many occasions!
I hope you've enjoyed what I've shared with you today and look forward to sharing with you again soon!

Returning home from high temperatures to find happy mail on the mat. A handmade card from Maria to wish me and my family a very happy summer. And what could be more sunny that a sunflower! Here is Maria's card....
How lovely of her to think of me! I think you'll agree, this sings summer!
Happy crafting in the heat,

Last month we saw the retirement of more products but I simply couldn't let the New Horizons DSP (patterned paper) go so easily. The colours, scenery and the colour wash on the reverse can be used so many ways. With this in mind I used it for June's classes and my last month as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
The cards I created need finishing with a sentiment but are simple so as to promote the imagery on the paper. Let me share them with you....
A simple triple layer card. A slight twist as it's DSP - no stamping and also the top layer is a circle.
The paper chosen for both this and the next card are quite moody.
Created using both the Stitched Rectangle and Stitched Triangle dies, both of which also now seem to be retired - such a shame, I use the rectangles so very often!
The third card is a gentle scene, the vibrant sky is softened by using the Grove Dies to create a frame, shadowing the deer. These versatile dies will definitely feature on some of my Christmas cards.
Finally, the last card which is a popular fun fold at present - the Flying Seagull. So called as the folded card on either side of the central panel resemble flapping wings. When folded it fits a regular C6 envelope with room to spare. The first image shows it almost completely folded flat. The second shows the card standing.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing these cards today.
The name of this DSP seems to me to be very apt. As mentioned at the start of this post, I retired as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator as of the end of June, in my 12th year. I've very much enjoyed being part of the Stampin' Up! demonstrator community and have made some wonderful friends, both in the UK and overseas, attended some fab events. However, life is changing yet again and we all have to move with it. I will continue with my crafting and sharing although my posts may become more erratic, something you may have already noticed. So, I hope you will continue to join me!
Happy crafting!

Sometimes my brain goes blank, or I simply see a card posted by someone else that I really like. This was the case recently when I was drawn to the colours on a card by Mihaela Titheridge.
Not only did I CASE it, I liked it so much that mine was pretty much a copy. I sent it to a family member for her birthday. Here it is below, I hope you like it as much as I did.
The stamps and dies are from the Timeless Tropical bundle. Now retired (as is the bermuda bay cardstock), these will be staying in my stash for the foreseeable future!
Thank you Michaela!
Stay cool this weekend,
Happy crafting!

I don't seem to have used this stamp set as much as I thought I would have done, so Coffee and Card was a good excuse to pull it off the shelf.
The card we made was simple enough although it is rather busy looking. I do love the colour combo which included bermuda bay. Yes, I know it's retired but it'd s colour I love.
Here is our card...
I added pool party, soft seafoam, pretty peacock and granny apple green. Lovely and summery!
Below is a list of the products used which are still current. I hope you find it helpful!
Happy crafting.

We returned once again to the Greatest Journey suite for our May classes. We created four cards, one that is interactive and three regular cards. All four are simple in design.
First I'll share the interactive card - it lights up!
The video below shows the card when lit. Press on the figure and the moon shines down…
Our second card is, what I would call, a positive/negative image. Half of the image is stamped in fresh freesia ink onto white card, the other half is stamped and embossed in white onto fresh freesia card. This gives a fresh looking card. I particularly like this method when done in a simple monochrome of black and white. The lighting on this photo is a little dark, the actual card is lighter and brighter.
Our third and fourth cards were cased/inspired by Linda Cullen (CraftStampin, com) and Jackie VanderSar-Boot (Pampered Stamper) respectively.
I love the shadow on Linda’s card created by cutting around the mountains and mounting them on stampin' dimensionals.
I'm going to pop a moon on there, I think.
My take on Jackie’s card was also simpler, although I did mess with it a little after the classes had ended and changed it up to be a new home card.
Here is the class card…
And here it is as a new home card - daft, but it will suffice!
I hope you've enjoyed the cards I've share today.

Another May birthday, and another pop out centre panel card.
For this one I used a recently retired cardstock colour - soft succulent - along with a coordinating patterned paper (DSP) Forever Greenery. Some of the shades on this DSP are soft and subtle. I also added some simple die cut shapes, cut using the dies from the same suite.
Here are three photos of the card. The first is closed…
The second is the card shown standing…
And here below the card is shown open and flat -
As you can see, I also added some evening evergreen ink and white gel pen to the die cut green leaves. The sentiment is a stamp from Art Gallery.
Lots of retired product here but still a lovely card.
It's a bank holiday weekend for the King's Coronation so you may have some extra time on your hands, I hope you get to do some happy crafting! Enjoy!
Until next time,
Lesley
